Holidays!

I LOVE the holidays! Grant and I were able to go to Seattle for a week over Christmas break and we had a blast! I was so happy that we got to see the family since we haven't seen them since the wedding! Way too long! We took family pictures, played SO may fun games, danced on the xbox, made a lip sync video, and did some touring in Seattle! Grant and I go spoiled for Christmas! We got new embroidered towels, all new pots, an xbox with kinect (I wanted it SO bad!), and clothes, and shoes. We had such a wonderful time and it is always the best when we get to be with the family!

 SEATTLE AQUARIUM!!! This place was so neat and if you ever get the chance to go visit you will love it!! There were so many neat things there and you would never believe the kinds of things that are in the ocean! These don't even look real!

 Star Fish!! Lots and lots of them too and we go to touch them! They had a hands on exhibit that was so neat!!

These otters were my absolute favorite! They were so adorable! They were cleaning themselves while floating on top of the water and they would rub their feet together! They were so cute!!

Date Night

Grant and I went on a fun date night last night. We went to the Gateway and ate at California Pizza Kitchen which is my favorite! We looked at some shops and then went to see the lights at Temple Square. I love seeing the lights and seeing how pretty the temple is. It was so crowded and freezing but we had a great time!

Christmas Time

Christmas time is my favorite time of year! What better then to have a break from school and get to spends loads of time with family! I love it! Yesterday we went with some friends to the Willard Bay lights and we went and saw the mini village lights in Ogden. We got hot cocoa and had a great time with friends!

They have this whole village set up in Ogden and this is inside one fo the houses. It was so neat!

Windstorm

What a night and day it has been! Last night we had a record windstorm up to 102 mph! We woke up this morning with trees down, trees on houses, power lines down, street lights almost falling on cars, and a tree that feel almost on my car! All of the schools are closed where we live tomorrow because there are about 50,000 people out of power and there are so many power lines down that it is dangerous to drive. There were so sad things to see as I drove to work. There were huge trees that had uprooted so much that houses and cement were being lifted out of the ground. It has been crazy! Let's hope this weather gets better soon!

The Past, The Present, The Future

Today I was just thinking back to the day that Grant and I go married and what a wonderful day that was! I could not have asked for a better man to marry. He is everything and more then I could ask for. He is always there for me and constantly makes me laugh!

6 Months!

I truly cannot believe that we have been married for 6 months! This has been the quickest and most enjoyable 6 months of my life! We have had such an adventure and have had so many great times. I married the sweetest man anyone could ask for. He is always worried about me and doing things for me and making me his first priority. I do not know what I would do without him! We have enjoyed numerous vacations already and have a few more planned before the end of the year. I love Grant more then anything and just want to thank him for all the wonderful things that he has done for me.

California!!

Grant and I got to go with his family to California and we had an absolute blast! 

Day 1

Grant and I got to go a day earlier then his family got to go. We got to the airport and didn't have to wait long till our flight came. We caught a shuttle to our hotel and it was right across the street from Disneyland!! We so super excited to go so once we got there we dropped everything off at the hotel and headed over there. We got 5 day passes so that we could take our time and do all the rides that we wanted to do... and it was a good thing because it was SO packed! There were so many people and some days we had to wait in line forever for a ride!! Grant and I took it slow and rode the Tower of Terror, The Ferris Wheel (the cage moves on a track back and forth while it is moving, it was super creepy!), and The Swings... only 3 rides in like 5 hours! It was craziness there!  We had a yummy dinner and got yummy cold stone for dessert!

Day 2

Grants family showed up on this day and we moved to a different hotel so that we could stay in a bigger room that had a kitchen in it, and had free breakfast!! My favorite. :) After we finally all got situated we went back to California Adventure. We really wanted Grants 14 year old brother to ride Tower of Terror, and he really didn't want to, but he was a trooper and went anyways. The whole ride his sister Rachel screamed and his little brother absolutely hated the ride! At one point I think he almost cried! Poor boy! We then went to Bugs Life and rode a ride there and watched a 3D movie about bugs that was creepy! I mean it was all cartoon but I am so terrified of bugs and they do things like blow air, and things in your seat that make it feel like bugs are crawling on you! It was super neat! We then went back to Disneyland and rode some really good rides like Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Splash Mountain. We were then so pooped that we took the shuttle back to the hotel!

Day 3

Today was a super fun day except there were so many people at the park that all the wait times were forever long! I did not want to wait in line for more than a half hour for a ride and all the rides had a 50 minute plus wait time! We ended up doing Space Mountain, Small World, Toon Town, Big Thunder Mountain, and a few others! We also had a really good lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, my favorite! We rested at the hotel for a while after and then headed back to the park! We did some rides and got to watch the fireworks and parts of the shows that they have going on a night! My feet hurt so bad after though, I just wanted to go back. :)

Day 4

We got up at 6 this day to get to the park early so that we could beat the crowd, too bad we didn't get there till 8! But we were there early enough that we got to ride Indian Jones and we didn't have to wait very long! I LOVE this ride! It was so much fun! We also rode Soarin over California, and I really loved this ride also!! I felt like I was really flying over California! And it smelled just like the Orange Patches and the Sea when you were flying over them! We also did the Rapids and I got the most wet!! I was so mad but it was really nice to cool down! Another fun ride we did was Toy Story, except I didn't think it was worth the hour wait in the burning sun! You get to play games in a 3D ride and it even counts your points with the person that you are sitting next too! It was pretty neat! We then got some dinner and headed to The Dodgers Game!!!!! I was so extremely happy for this! I had never been to a major league game and I had so much fun! We had good seats and they won! Grant even bought me a shift and we got free bobble heads!! We had to fit all 4 of us kids in the back seat though for a hour each way! That was not comfortable!

Day 5

Today was the day that we had to go home! But before we had to we went back to the park and rode Tower of Terror again, and Grants little brother even went on it again and said that he actually liked it knowing what to expect! It was so sweet! We also did Peter Pan and a few of the other little rides! It was super fun! We then ate at the ESPN zone, which was delicious! Unfortunately we had to head to the airport but we had so much fun and we missed our cute little puppy Rudy so we were happy to be back!

Reunion

Last Saturday Grant and I went up to the Brightons Girls Camp for the day for the Benson reunion. We had so much fun! We went up right after breakfast that morning and got to see lots of family and lots got to meet the new hubby <3. We had so much fun chatting with family and we also got to do a repelling wall, zip lining, and went on a fun walk around the lake!

I was SO nervous to do this but once I got over the edge it was lots of fun! I wish Grant would have done it but I think the part about going over the edge got the best of him!

Grant and I also are going to Disneyland on Saturday and I will for sure take lots of pictures!

Surf and Swim

Saturday we decided that we wanted to get some sun so Layton has a really nice wave pool and it was so much fun! Grant and I took his little brother Tyler and we had a blast! We got tubes and had a blast! We thought that we had put enough sunscreen on the boys but.... come a few days later and Grants whole back is full of blisters... it makes me so nervous! What am I supposed to do? It scares me like it could get an infection or something! We had a blast though and next time we go we will have to do double duty on  the sunscreen!

Camping Trip #2

We wanted to go camping on Friday night for the 4th and we really wanted to go back to Pineview Resevoir but they were all ful at 7:30am!! Can you believe that? Right when they open and they are already full. Ugh. So I went up there early and decided to go up the canyon more and found a few spots that would be nice but couldn't reserve them so I had to wait for Grant to get off of work. So I got everything ready and we decided to go up to Botts campground and we got thee most perfect spot! It was right next to the river, we wanted to go tubing so bad! So we definitely have to go back and do that! We went camping with some friends and had a great night playing games, doing riddles, and all kinds of things and had a blast. We can't wait to go back up there! It was such a nice place and pretty cheap. There were SO many stars too! I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere, even though we were just a little out of the town. :) I am so sad that we had to leave Rudy with the in-laws. :( Next time though we really hope that we can take him. It's just hard because he is so high maintenance. Haha.

New Haircut

Grant decided that since it was summer he wanted to cut his hair... and oh boy did he cut it :)

I love his new hair! I think he looks super handsome! I think he should cut his hair more often cause I think he looks sexy :)

Grant

I have the best husband that anyone could ask for. He got me flowers the other day just to tell me that he was thinking about me... so cute. He always knows how to put a smile on my face and be goofy with me. He is such a caring man and always wants to make me happy and would do anything for me. He is the love of my life and my best friend and I don't think I could have asked for anyone better.

Bonfire Night

We went up Farmington Canyon last night to find some place where we could start a fire and roast marshmallows and it was the scariest thing! We found a place where we wanted to have a fire and as we are walking in one of our friends said that he saw two eyes, okay its 10 at night, pitch black, and no one is around and he sees a set of eyes... that could be anything! So as we went down the mountain after getting in the car we found a nice open area and after we found a nice safe spot it was lots of fun! We just sat around the fire and talked and had a great time!

Happy Birthday!

Today was Grants 23rd birthday! He is so old! :) For his birthday I got him a new phone, a really nice one to if I say so myself. :) And yesterday his parents took us both out to dinner to celebrate. Unfortunately today though on his birthday I had to work a 12 hour shift :( but we still had time to take him to dinner at GoodWood, which he loves! I also found out today that I will now be working full time. I didn't have to go full time but I decided why not. I guess we will see how it works with school once it starts and how it will work with the married life. :) Sorry I don't have any pictures. I am the worst at taking pictures. Haha.

Rudy Update

We just adore our little Rudy, he is just an adorable puppy! He just lays around all day and loves to be laying on someones feet or licking their ears! So funny! We took him Grants baseball game and he went wild! He loved being there and everyone there loved him. Once we got home though he just passed out on the blanket. It was so cute!

 I have never had a puppy before and I just love him!

We also found out that Rudy likes Frappuccinos! It may not have been the best idea to feed it to him but he just loved licking it up. :)

Sunday

Today I got my first calling in a family ward as a married women! I got the calling to be the Young Womens Secretary.... AH! I am slightly freaking out! I feel too young to be a secretary in the YW, I basically am still a young women! Haha. I am very excited though to have the calling. Can't wait to see what blessings it will bring!

Drive In

Today Grant and I went to the drive in with two of our friends. We went and saw XMEN!! It was amazing! I absolutely loved it and the drive in was so neat! We will definitely be going back soon!

BAD LUCK!

So on Wednesday Grant and I had a tough day! Grant was really sick all day so I decided that we should go swimming so that maybe him getting out of the apartment he would start to feel better. Well he ended up getting water in his ear so he put a Q-Tip in there to clean it out and ended up hurting it even more. So he was in SO much pain all day. So by 9pm I decided that he needed to see a doctor, except all the instacares close at 9! And we did not want to go to a hospital and pay so much money to just get his ear out. So I call an Instacare in Layton and they decide to keep it open tell we got there. So as we rushed over there the next thing I know is I hit some kind of debree that is in the road! I was almost positive that it had made my tire go flat. Since the Insatcare was close I didn't bother to pull over. I told Grant to get out once we got there and check to see if I had a flat tire and this is what I found....

 I have only had this car for a month and a half! And can you believe what happened to my car? I am so sad! Hopefully it won't cost me too much!

One yellow light is gone and the other one doesn't even work. Everything is so cracked! UGH!!!
