St George!

For Memorial Weekend Grant and I decided that we would go visit his grandparents in St George and get to know them better and spend some good time in the sun! The drive was pretty easy on our way down and it was warm weather! Now, I have only met his Grandparents once when they came to the wedding and I just adored his Grandpa Bruce! I thought he was the cutest grandpa ever! So we went down there and had SO much fun! We played tons of games with them and really got to know them better. They also took us up to hike and play around the red rocks where the Dixie is painted on the hill. That was a ton of fun. His grandpa is a jokester! He loves to be funny and I adore it. Also, while on our way home we were able to stop in Hurricane to see his other Grandparents. We had a ton of fun on the trip and I really hope that we can go back soon. His grandparents are such great people and I love to get to know more about Grant and his family through them!

Grant has been begging me to consider getting a dog and for the longest time I really didn't want one. We didn't grow up having any pets really so I didn't really know if I could handle taking care of a dog. I also really do not want my house to smell like a dog so I have been fighting the idea for quite some time. Our friends got a dog so Grant was even more convinced that he wanted one and that we could handle one. So I continued to fight the idea and said that I wanted to wait just a little bit. We both work lots and I didn't know what to do with the dog when we were gone. So Grant came home from work for lunch and I found the cutest dog on ksl so I decided I wanted to go look at it and sure enough the second I saw him I fell in love and I bought him. His name is Rudy! He is a puggle, which is a pug and a beagle mix. He is only 4 months old and already potty trained, which I promised myself I would never buy a dog if it wasn't potty trained. He has been such a fantastic dog. He sleeps a lot and is very cuddly. He also sleep walks which is so funny! He will be sound a sleep and then gets up and walks 5 feet and then just plops on the floor and falls back asleep. It's so cute!

Honeymoon

After the reception we drove down and stayed at the hotel Monoco. The next morning we left for Las Vegas. Once we arrived we got a Limo to take us to our hotel, so neat! Grant had never been in a limo before we had a great time on the ride there. We arrived at Ceasers Pallace and oh man did we get spoiled! Our room was on the 36th floor and our room was huge! We had a seperate door to go through and then another one till we even go to our room! Our room was digger then our apartment! It had a living room, 3 bathrooms, and a huge king sized bed, and can you believe it 4 t.vs! The room looked over the strip and we could see the Bellagio water show anytime we wanted. We were on a corner suite so we had lots of huge windows and could see so much! We also got Diamond cards so wherever we went we also got to be first in line, and in Vegas you know how well that came in handy. :) We also got to go to the Beatles show! It was such a great show. There was so much going on at all times I'm sure we could watch it a few more times and still see things that we didn't see the first time. We had a blast there and we had great seats too! The next day we went on the New York New York roller coaster which was a blast! We also got to hang around at the pool, which was heated and there was 8 different pools that you could go into. We had such an amazing time there!

View from our room at night! We could see the
Bellagio water show when they would light it up!
 Where we stayed :)
 Seriously the best show ever!
 View of the strip!
We went on this really romantic Gondola ride! It went through
The Venetian and the guy controlling the boat would sing. Very romantic!

Wedding!

Our Wedding was by far our happiest day of our lives so far! What an incredible day it was! The temple was such a wonderful experience. We were so happy to spend it with friends and family. Coming out of the temple was such a happy time, I knew that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. Pictures were a lot of fun too. I was so happy that the sun came out because all week it had been raining! I was so happy to see everyone there supporting us. Our luncheon was so yummy! We had the best food and everything looked great! I am so grateful for mine and Grant's family for all of their hard work and time. The reception was great! This was such a special day and it couldn't have been any better!

 Best Day EVER!
Those who came to the temple! Luckily it was a really
sunny day out, since all week it had been rainy!
 So Happy
 Loved our cake!

The Proposal

Talk about most nervousing proposal ever! So it was just a regular day and Grant came over to my apartment and said that we needed to go over to his parent's house to sign his taxes. We go over there and his mom is making doughnuts, she said that they were for a friend that heard she was making them and wanted some. She played that up pretty well! As we were there for a little bit Grant is just sitting on the couch not saying anything and just sitting there. So I ask him what his wrong and he just plays it off as he isn't feeling well. So funny part is his mom goes to get Grant's taxes and ends up grabbing his sisters taxes and when she sits down she had no clue why she had them... So funny! And then the doorbell rings and Grant's dad answers the door and all I can hear is someone saying in a very firm and deep voice "Sir, is this your red car out here?" grants dad replies, "No, it's my son Grants." So Grant gets up and I notice that at the door was a police officer and his car is outside with his lights on, so I start getting nervous. The police officer then says that Grant needs to step outside and to not let anyone else that was home to come outside. By this time I am freaking out.. his mom and his dad were asking what he had done and of course he hadn't done anything, at least at this point that I had known. So we are trying to peek out the windows but we can't see anything.  So as we wait in the kitchen the door knocks again and his dad goes over to the door and this time the policemen asks for Kara Andrews. So I walk over to the door and I am shaking! He asks me how I know Grant, I told him that he was my boyfriend. I was then asked to come outside. I look over at Grant and he looks guilty, so at this point I start feeling sick to my stomach! The police officer starts interrogating me asking me where I was last night, where Grant was, what kind of car I drive, where my car was, and he was catching me at ever word. He then looks at me and says that Grant told him that he was in Salt Lake and I freaked! He said that someone had called in the cops for a hit and run and described Grant's car and license plate. He continues to say that someone was seriously injured and that Grant need to get on his knees (as he pulls out his handcuffs). As he does this he asks if there is anything that Grant wants to say before he leaves and that is when he asked me to marry him!!! I was in such shock though that I was still processing everything that had happened! Of course I said yes :)
